2 Days in McLeodganj, Dharamshala, India

It was cold and dewy when I arrived in McLeod Ganj at 9 am on 14 March 2019. I was wearing just two t-shirts pretty much all that I was carrying with me. Coming from 28-degree celsius heat to 8-degree celsius cold unprepared. Mistakenly, I kept checking the weather for lower Dharamshala which was reasonably good while my stay was planned for Upper Dharamshala (McLeodganj) which was way too cold. First thing I needed to do was go shopping for some authentic and traditional Tibetan warm woollen gear.

An amazing road trip on motorbikes in the Himalayas, in a region known as Ladhak (part of the Tibetan plateau which resides in India). At an average height of 14000 feet, altitude is a bitch , roads mostly don’t exist but the landscape is arid and beautiful, sky can’t be more blue and high altitude lakes are simply mesmerising.

A Day in Kochi

We had a pit stop in Kochi for a day. We chose to stay in a hotel near Kochi International Airport which turned out to be fantastic decision. Hotel Sapphire Inn was 1 km away from the Departure gate of Kochi airport. We Arrived from Bangalore at 10:30 pm and we took an auto which costed INR 30 (£0.30). Read more →

Visiting Dandeli, Karnataka, India

MnM and our couple friends GKC and PS spent our Christmas long weekend visiting Dandeli, a forest reserve in Northern Karnataka. The drive through the forest was good and we happen to stumble upon a beautiful village on the way, with just 8 houses. After meeting a local family we self invited us forma cup of tea. That was our wish come true. This village man was humble, he had a young daughter and a 3 month old son. The time spent with our friends will be in our memories forever. Here are few pics. Read more →
